Spark 110, 125, 250 and 450X compared
We compare the four MEGA Spark models by engine, gearbox, wheels and seat height: from a first ride off-road to a road-registered enduro.
The MEGA Spark range has four motorcycles: the Spark 110, Spark 125, Spark 250 and Spark 450X. It runs from a rider taking a first step off-road to one who wants a road-registered enduro for the street too. The clearest differences are engine size, gearbox type and seat height.
Spark 110: the first step off-road
The Spark 110 has a 110 cc four-stroke engine and a clutchless semi-automatic 4-speed gearbox. Seat height is 60 cm. The front wheel is 14 inches (60/100-14) and the rear 12 inches (80/100-12). The suspension is preload and height adjustable, with a dual-piston front brake and a rear disc. It has an electric starter.
Spark 125: the next step, with a manual gearbox
The Spark 125 has a 125 cc engine and a 4-speed manual gearbox, so it is the next step for a rider who wants to learn to use a clutch. Seat height is 75 cm. The front wheel is 17 inches (70/100-17) and the rear 14 inches (90/100-14). It has an LED headlight, adjustable suspension and an electric starter.
Spark 250: the road-registrable enduro
The Spark 250 has an air-cooled, high-torque 250 cc engine and 5 gears. It has a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel, a 95 cm seat, an LCD dash, LED lights and sequential LED indicators. With lights and plates it can be used both off-road and on the road.
Spark 450X: 449 cc EFI, enduro or supermoto
The Spark 450X has the range’s biggest engine: twin-cam, 4-valve, 449 cc, liquid-cooled with a fan and fuel-injected (EFI). It has a 6-speed gearbox, a dual oil pump and a balance shaft. It uses 48 mm suspension, D.I.D rims and chain, CNC-machined triple clamps and an 8.5-litre tank. With front and rear LED lights, indicators and a horn it is road-registered. Which should you choose?
Seat height decides whether you can put your feet down, so it matters for beginners. The Spark 110 suits those who want to start without a clutch, the Spark 125 those ready for a manual gearbox, and the Spark 250 and Spark 450X those who want a bike for the road as well.
